About Dada
Dada is a women’s health companion app that provides menstrual cycle tracking, symptom logging, health education, and personalised content for women in Kenya and East Africa. Dada is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.
Your Account
You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, contact us immediately.
You can sign in using Google or a phone number. Under the Kenya Data Protection Act (Section 33), you must be at least 18 years old to create an account and consent to processing of your own health data.
Health Information Disclaimer
Dada provides health education and tracking tools for informational purposes only. The content in this app is NOT a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider with questions about your health.
Cycle predictions are estimates based on your logged data. They should not be used as a sole method of contraception or fertility planning.
If you experience a medical emergency, contact your nearest health facility or call emergency services immediately.
Acceptable Use
You agree to:
- Use the app for personal health tracking only.
- Provide accurate health data for your own benefit.
- Not attempt to access other users’ data.
- Not reverse-engineer, modify, or distribute the app.
- Not use the app for any unlawful purpose.
Intellectual Property
All content in Dada — including text, graphics, icons, and educational material — is owned by us or our content partners. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our written permission.
Availability
We aim to keep Dada available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The app may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss resulting from app downtime.
Data and Privacy
Your privacy matters to us. Please read our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your data.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Kenyan law:
- Dada is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
- We are not liable for any decisions you make based on information in the app.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
- Our total liability for any claim related to the app shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim (if any).
Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the app ends and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Nairobi, Kenya.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
